Meet the inspiration behind Pug Life Co.

Every pug on this site owes their existence to one very real, very precious little being: Zara.The idea for Pug Life Co. actually started years ago, when Zara was about five.I was at a friend's place one night, playing darts with a drink in hand and Zara on my lap between throws.At some point I looked down and realised I was completely covered in her hair. Not a light dusting — covered.I laughed and said, "I've been pugged."Then came the thought: wouldn't that make a great t-shirt?That idea sat around for years before it finally became something real.Now, with Zara nearly ten, that old throwaway idea has finally turned into Pug Life Co. — the wrinkles, the snorts, the food obsession, the shoelace ambushes (she still goes for my toes in a shoe, given half a chance). It's all because of her.Always the best part of my day.Here's the very adorable fur-baby who started it all.
